2010 Catherine Howe Promo Folk 45 – In the Hot Summer / Let’s Keep It Quiet Now Catherine Howe – In the Hot Summer b/w Let’s Keep It Quiet Now (Reflection Num 012) Howe, a British actress and singer-songwriter who also was a recording artist, recording four albums during the 70s. Produced by noted jazz pianist Bobby Scott, the LP-oft-mistaken for a concept album-was available for only a month in the summer of 1971, disappearing after Reflection Records’ shuttering in 1971. Included with the first 2000 copies of her first LP was a Reflection label single. In 2010 Chicago label Numero Group reissued the first Catherine Howe album and the first 1000 came with a repro of the now impossible to find 7″ (push out center and all) which had been included with the British issue. This is one of those re-issue singles with the number «NUM-012-A-45» in the run-off grooves. (When you can’t find one of the original 2000 one of the re-issue 1000 is a good backup.) Take a listen.
