Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1960 pressing of the famous recording of Alan Hovhaness’ Meditation on Orpheus, and Homer Kepler’s Symphony no. 3 played by the Asahi Orchestra of Tokyo, conducted by Richard Korn, on Composers Recordings Inc. CRI-134. A classic of mid-century modern orchestral music, the definitive versions of these rarely performed compositions. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has slight wear, with somewhat worn corners, especially the two bottom ones, but otherwise only slight signs of age and gentle use. Really a top copy. Hard to beat.
