Tony Mottola Project 3 1381 WL Promo Mono Tequila b/w Bluesette Pop/Rock Jazz

Tony Mottola was a prolific guitarist, serving as a studio musician of choice, and releasing records under his own name, throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. He enjoyed a multi-decade musical relationship with Enoch Light and released a number of titles on Light’s Command and Project 3 labels. This is an interesting two-sider from 1970. The A-side cover of Tequila starts and finishes as a pop instrumental take on the song but jumps into an acid rock electric guitar wigout in the middle. The B-side is a lilting take on the Toots Thieleman jazz standard «Bluesette». Clean promo copy and it is an unusual (for 1970) mono release. Vinyl grades VG++: a few light marks but nothing that can be felt; excellent gloss; excellent player. White promo labels grade NM – clean, bright and unmarked. Excellent Project 3 release, excellent copy!
