NM (Near Mint) is the highest grade that I use for opened records. For lower grades (VG+, VG, and G), I will also describe what disqualifies the record from being NM. Vinyl and inner sleeve are removed from the cover to prevent seam splits, unless the LP is still sealed.
The record LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE with a faint scratch or scuff over a clean surface, will grade VG++.
The Edgar Winter Group’s «Free Ride» 45rpm vinyl record, released in 1973 by Epic Records, features the hit song composed by D. Hartman and produced by Rick Derringer.
