Sianne and Bianca Casady’s second album, freak-folk at its most unhinged — hand-drawn cover art (that donkey/zebra/unicorn menagerie is peak CocoRosie whimsy-horror), Touch and Go pressing. Tracklist includes “Beautiful Boyz,” “Noah’s Ark,” “Armageddon,” “Brazilian Sun.” This is the record that put them on the map beyond the initial “La Maison de Mon Rêve” cult following — 2005, the height of the freak-folk/New Weird America moment alongside Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom. Beat-driven, toy-instrument, hip-hop-inflected folk that doesn’t sound like anything else from that scene. Condition: sleeve shows some wear consistent with age (edge fraying visible on the front), vinyl otherwise solid.
